Nepal Telecom has started construction of its GSM and 4G towers to expand phone and internet services in the rural areas of the district. Nepal Telecom has started work for the expansion of 4G and phone services in all the nine local levels of the district. In this connection, the construction of the 4G tower has been started in Rantola of Badikedar rural municipality-5 with the objective of providing easy access to communication in different wards of Bogtan Fudsil, Badikedar, and Jorayal of the district.
Prakash Bahadur Chaudhary, Information Officer of Nepal Telecom Dipayal Rajpur, said that the telco has started constructing its towers with the objective of providing internet and 4G services to all the local levels of the district. He said, "As per our goal of expanding 4G and street phone services in villages, the construction of towers is underway now. Due to the lack of telephone services in the remote villages, the citizens were having a lot of problems communicating and using the internet.
Deepak Bahadur Khadka, general secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and locals of Adarsh village said that they are still forced to climb trees and go to the district headquarters to make phone calls due to the lack of construction of towers in some places. Nepal Telecom's Far Western Regional Office Kailali is constructing the tower at Rantola in Badikedar, said Ghanshyam Pathak, Forge in charge of Telecom.
The construction of the tower will be completed in a few days and will be operational, according to the Far Western Provincial Office of Nepal Telecom, Ataria. Bhim Bahadur Bohara, a local of Badikedar-5, said that the residents of Badikedar-5 are happy with the hope of getting rid of the problem of network access after the operation of the tower.
