The number of corona infections in Udayapur district increased from 205 in the second week of July to 315 in the third week. As reported, there have been more than a hundred people infected by COVID-19 in a week. Chief of the office, Mohan Subedi, said that the most infected among the locals are from Triyuga, Chaudandi and Bell. He said that the infection was also increasing in Limchungbung and Tapli villages.
Khaijanpur village of Triyuga-2, where 15 people have been infected, has been sealed off as the number of infected people has started increasing rapidly again within a week. The Land Revenue Office, Triyuga and Gaighat-based Civil Bank have also been closed for a week due to infection. Of the 3,043 infected people in the district, 315 are undergoing treatment and 52 have died.
