A demo flight will be held on Sunday (8 January) at Resunga Airport, which has been completed in Simichour, Resunga Municipality of Gulmi. Tara Air's Twin Otter aircraft will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport to Gulmi. It will take 50 minutes for the aeroplane to reach Gulmi from Kathmandu. According to the airline company, Tara Air will conduct a demo flight on Sunday at 10:30 am.
MP Chandra Bhandari, Gokarn Bista, elected from Gulmi district will be on board the ship. Besides, UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, CPN United Socialist Party Secretary Ramkumari Jhankri will also be on the ship.
Officials of Tara Air and Nepal Civil Aviation Authority will also be on board. The plane will stay at Resunga Airport for about an hour and will return to Kathmandu again.
According to Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bertaula, after the demo flight on Sunday, the process for regular flights will begin. He further added that it would take about 2 weeks for regular flights to begin. Initially, Tara Air will fly to this airport in coordination with the local government.
