Deuba to participate in BIMSTEC through virtual medium

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to participate in the 5th BIMSTEC Summit to be held in Sri Lanka on April 3 through virtual media. At a press conference held today to announce the decision of the Council of Ministers, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, who is also the spokesperson of the government, informed that it has been decided to form a Nepali delegation to participate in the BIMSTEC Ministerial Meeting and BIMSTEC Foreign Secretary / Senior Officials Meeting.

 The meeting also decided to approve the signing of BIMSTEC Charter and other documents on behalf of Nepal at the 5th BIMSTEC Summit.

The government has decided to approve the estimated share of the revenue sharing structure and financial equalization grant to be provided to the state and local level in the Fiscal Year 2079/80.

 The cabinet meeting has appointed Prem Raj Bhandari as the general manager of Nepal Transport and Warehouse Management Company Limited and Gautam Dangol as the vacant member of the Electricity Regulatory Commission. Government spokesperson Karki said that it has been decided to give approval to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to sign an agreement with China on the MoU on 'Hilage Export from Nepal to China'.

 The Council of Ministers has decided to give prior approval to survey the organization and management of the body under the Ministry of Water Supply and to approve the 10th Amendment to the Police Regulations. Is given.

 Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has been approved to participate in a program called 'Wings India' to be held in Hyderabad, India from April 29 to 30. The meeting also approved Urban Development Minister Ram Kumari Jhankri to participate in the Urban Development Meeting organized by UN Habitat on April 23.

 The meeting decided to form the Biratnagar City Development Committee as per Section 4 of the Urban Development Act 2045 BS by amending the area of ​​the former Biratnagar City Development Committee and confining it within the current four forts of the present Biratnagar Metropolitan City, said Minister for Communications and Information Technology and government spokesperson Karki.

 The meeting also approved to move ahead with the construction work of integrated waste management and wastewater treatment plant in Dhangadhi, Kailali. A similar meeting has decided to appoint Rocky Thebe as the chairman of the Pathibharta Area Development Committee.
