While inaugurating a 100-bedded Central Hospital at Laxminiya Rural Municipality in Dhanusha district on Thursday, Chairman of Janata Samajwadi Party Upendra Yadav laid emphasis on the development of education and health care sectors as the foundation for the nation’s prosperity.
Yadav also expressed the confidence that the newly-inaugurated hospital would contribute to the reform in the region’s health sector.
Yadav, who also served as the Health Minister in the past, said that cooperative and the private sector’s role was crucial for the development of the health sector while calling for partnership among the three layers of government and private sector.
On the occasion, Yadav recalled the new health policy unveiled during his leadership in the health ministry for providing accessible health care services to all and expressed pleasure towards the establishment of hospitals at each local level.
Chairman Yadav praised the establishment of the hospital from the private sector stating that quality education and quality health care services were still lacking in the Madhes Province.
Yadav also shared that the health insurance program was forwarded as per the same health policy and asked all three layers of government to effectively run the insurance program.
On the occasion, he asked the stakeholders to develop the Mithila region as the hub of education and health care like in the past.
