Minister for Energy Pampha Bhusal, who is also the CPN (Maoist Centre) leader, has said women should get economic rights in practice besides political rights.
Addressing the Madhes Province Liaison Coordination Committee of the party's women wing here Saturday, she said women’s right is not regarded ensured until there was the implementation of economic rights in practice.
Bhusal was of the view that the women's movement should be waged to ensure equal rights on ancestral property. Recalling the time that she had to land in jail while raising the agendas of transformation and rights, Minister Bhusal called upon for continued advocacy and movement for equal rights.
On the occasion, State Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bodhmaya Yadav, Chairperson of All Nepal Women Association (Revolutionary) Amrita Thapa and other speakers put forth their views for getting more rights to women.
