The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer and the Office of the Returning Officer have been established in Jumla for the local level election to be held on May 13.
The office of the Chief Election Officer has been established in the district headquarters Khalanga and election offices have been established in all the eight local levels of the district. Chief Election Officer Jawahar Prasad Singh said that election offices have been set up in every local level Palika Kendra.
He said, "Preparations for the local elections have started as soon as the election office has been established." He said that it was necessary to have coordination and cooperation with all to conduct the election in a fearless and peaceful manner.
Chief Election Officer Singh said that the issue of election code of conduct will also be monitored. The office of the Chief Election Officer has been established in the newly constructed building of the District Court, Jumla. Chief District Officer Bijaya Kumari Prasai said that the district security committee has become sensitive to make the election peaceful and fearless.
According to the District Administration Office, Jumla, armed police has been deployed for the security of every election office.
A total of 496 staffs will be mobilized in the district for the election. According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and temporary police have also been mobilized.
