The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case in a special court today against Engineer Nawan Dangi of Gangadev village council of Rolpa, who is accused of asking for bribe from the customer for preparing the measurement book and bill of the highway construction plan.
According to the spokesperson of the Commission, Shyam Prasad Bhandari, Engineer Dangi, working as the head of Rolpa's technical branch, was found to have asked for a bribe when he prepared the measurement book of the road constructed by the Road Construction Consumer Committee and submitted the file for the final payment.
According to the Commission, when he initially demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000, it was revealed that he took an additional bribe of Rs 356,500. The commission has filed a case in the special court today demanding action as mentioned above.
