Nepal has given special stress on expansion of relations with the European Union. Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Khadka expressed this during his meeting today with Ms Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific of European External Affairs Service, EU.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar. Ms Pampaloni is in Nepal leading a three-member delegation in the 13th meeting of Nepal-EU Joint Commission.
On the occasion, Minister Khadka emphasized on expansion of mutual relations. They discussed topics of mutual interest as well as regional and multilateral affairs. Range of matters concerning Nepal-EU partnership were discussed including development cooperation, trade and civil aviation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The European Union has been supporting Nepal in trade and investment, commerce, energy, science and technology, agriculture, human resource development, environment conservation, post-earthquake reconstruction, rural development, nutrition, education, good governance, among others.
