A man died of lightning in Bheemdutt Municipality-9 in Kanchanpur this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Bir Singh Mahara (53) of Mataina in the same municipality.
Similarly, the deceased's son Lal Singh Mahara (18) is injured.
The lightning struck them while they were sitting on the balcony of their home, informed DSP Siddharaj Neupane of District Police Office, Kanchanpur.
Injured Lal Singh is receiving treatment at Mahakali Provincial Hospital, said Neupane.
