The municipality, which is currently operating from a rented house, will run from its own building within the next two years. The municipality has stated that the contract process has started for the construction of a well-equipped administrative building.
City Deputy Chief Renuka Kaucha informed that a detailed project report (DPR) of Rs. 270 million has been prepared for the building. According to him, the municipality has spent Rs. 24.5 million on land purchases alone. If the landlord had not given something free of cost and had not received financial support from the locals, the municipality would have incurred huge expenses on the land.
