A fire has broken out at Damauli Chowk in Tanahu at a hardware warehouse in Damauli Bazaar around 10 in the morning.
Chief District Officer of Tanahu, Bishwa Prakash Aryal, said that efforts were being made to extinguish the fire. According to him, no human casualties have been reported so far.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has sought the help of helicopter after the fire could not be extinguished at the local level. A Simrik Air helicopter has taken water from Kathmandu to Damauli.
According to a source, the fire is growing uncontrollably. Entry at the fire station is blocked as the way to fire station is narrow.
A fire brigade has been sent from Pokhara and another is being prepared, said Kaski District Police Office Chief Ramesh Thapa.
