The first ever women entrepreneurs' special industrial village is to be set up in Paanchkhal of Kavrepalanchowk district. The industrial village that aims to develop entrepreneurship among the women institutionally is going to be established in public private partnership model.
Such industrial villages is expected to contribute in job creations by operating micro, cottage, small and medium scale enterprises through optimization of local resources, raw materials and technology.The South Asian Forum for Women Development is going to collaborate with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and Panchkhal Municipality towards that end.
The cabinet meeting held on June 7 had decided to convert the industrial village in Panchkhal Municipality into a special industrial village for women entrepreneurs. The Forum here today organized a press meet to enlighten on the same. Forum's President Pramila Acharya remarked that establishment of industrial park was a positive thing for women entrepreneurs and for green economy and spoke of the need to roll out Green Industry Park Act to expand such natural parks in remaining six provinces. She also pressed for prompt implementation of such projects and programmes so as to create enabling environment for women entrepreneurs running small and medium scale enterprises. Acharya also pointed out the need for the State to increase women's role in national economy. Similarly, Sharada Rijal, Chairperson of the Women Entrepreneurs' Green Industrial Park Committee, shed light on the first women entrepreneurs green industrial park established in the House of Paanchkhal Municipality.
Furthermore, she also described management of garbage, reuse of dirty water, common plans for energy conservation and buildings made up of locally available goods. The Industrial Village is first in the country and second in the South Asia, it was shared. A total of 50 small scale industries related to agricultural production and tourism-centric services would be established in the Industrial Village.
