SURKHET: Five persons were killed while 24 others injured in a road accident at Ranimatta of Surkhet-Dailekh border point.
According to District Police Office, Surkhet, the vehicle (Karnali Province 02001 B 0998) heading towards Surkhet from Dailekh bazaar, went out of control and met the accident.
Spokesperson of the District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Bir Bishwakarma informed that 24 injured in the incident were rescued and brought to the Provincial Hospital Surkhet. "Four persons lost lives on the spot, we rescued 24 others and sent them to the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet," he said, adding that the some of the injured are in critical condition.
Bishwakarma added that vehicle had fallen some 200 metres down the road.
