As many as 101 deaths have been reported till this morning due to floods and landslides due to incessant rainfall across the country.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), 60 have died in province 1, 1 in Bagmati province, 7 in Karnali Province, 31 in Sudurpaschim province totaling 101 deaths due to floods and landslides.
Similarly, 19 have been injured in Province 1, 4 in Karnali province, and 17 in Sudurpaschim province taking a tally to 40.
The injured ones have been referred to a local hospital for treatment.
Likewise, 13 people in Province 1, one in Province 2, 3 in Lumbini province, 2 from Karnali and Sudurpaschim province have gone missing taking a tally to 41. The search for the missing people is still underway.
2,232 houses have been inundated due to floods across the nation.
49 houses, eight cowsheds, six bridges, and three government offices have been destroyed by the disaster. On the other hand, 139 livestock have died.
1,177 families have been displaced by the disaster. In addition, the police are working to keep people in safer places in different districts affected by floods and landslides. They are also trying to protect them by removing the property buried in the landslide with the coordination and support of various agencies and locals.
The police personnel is also working to remove roadblocks at various places.
