Former Prime Minister Swa Tankprasad Acharya's birthplace in Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta West) headquarters in Parasi is going to be turned into a museum. He was also the founding chairman of the Nepal Praja Parishad, and his dilapidated house, which is about a hundred years old, is about to be turned into a museum.

The plan to build a museum with an investment of Rs 50 lakh has been advanced by the Lumbini state government. "The house is very dilapidated, it seems impossible to restore it. There is a plan to build a new house and turn it into a museum", said Vaijnath Chaudhary, a member of the Tank Prasad Acharya Memorial Foundation and former Minister of Economic Affairs of the Lumbini State Government.

After the dilapidated house was further damaged by the earthquake in 2016, the locals were demanding to protect it. "There was a demand for the protection of the house for three decades", Chaudhary said. He says that the plan to turn Swa Acharya's house into a museum has been advanced as it is the pride of Parasi.

State Assembly Member Vaijnath Jaiswal emphasized that the work should be carried forward in coordination with the Department of Archaeology. He mentioned that it is necessary to restore the house of Swa Acharya and said that if necessary, he will take initiative with the state government for an additional budget. Swa Acharya was born in 1969. He passed away in 1989. He became the Prime Minister of the country in 2012.
