The Tamankhola village municipality has brought training and grant programs to connect the youths who lost their jobs due to the Corona epidemic to their businesses. Young people who lost their jobs during the Corona epidemic are being encouraged to become self-employed. The village municipality has taken the policy of paying interest on loans taken from banks and financial institutions and providing necessary training free of cost to the self-employed youth and women doing business.
According to the procedure prepared by the village municipality, all those who have lost their jobs will have to pay all the interest on the loans taken from the banks and financial institutions in Tamankhola. Stakeholders have been urged to invest in the businesses run by the youth and women by paying the interest of the loan. Chairman Joklal Budha said that the method developed by the village municipality would be suitable for the youths who could not start business due to lack of investment. We have made arrangements for one person to take a loan of Rs 500,000 to Rs 2.5 million depending on the nature of the business," he said.
Chairman Budha said that the working procedure has been implemented. The statistics of those who lost their jobs during the epidemic in the village municipality has not been prepared yet.
