Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Krishna Chandra Nepali, has inaugurated the anti-COVID vaccination drive at Nawalparasi amidst a programme on Monday. The Janssen and Janssen vaccine is being administered in the province.
CM Nepali inaugurated the vaccination programme at Nawalpur Health Post of Kolhuwa, Madhyabindu-2.
Chief of health office in the district, Keshav Prasad Chapagain, informed that 15,000 people would be provided anti-COVID vaccines in Bardaghat-Susta East. The disaster management committee in the district would take further decisions on the distribution of anti-COVID vaccines, he added.
It is said single dose of the Janssen and Janssen vaccine would suffice while others need double doses. Inaugurating the vaccination campaign, CM Nepali said the province government had prioritized the guarantee of anti-COVID vaccines in province. Health and education were of equal priorities to build prosperous Gandaki, he stressed.
It is the first time CM Nepali arrived in home district after he was elected to the high post.
