Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that the incumbent government has given special attention to ensuring good governance, social justice and prosperity as per the aspirations of the people.
Speaking at an interaction on "Socialism with Nepali Characteristics" organized by Samajbadi Morcha here today, he said that if the socialists and nationalists of Nepal come together then socialism can be advanced rapidly. "Nepal is a country with such a possibility", which is why I have tried to bring the nationalist leftists together despite some inherent risks and challenges."
Pointed out the need for unity and collaboration between the nationalist, progressive and socialist forces, he said the latest steps have been taken to prepare the ground for socialism with the goal of strengthening Nepal's national independence.
Prime Minister Dahal mentioned that the campaign against corruption, misappropriation of public assets and smuggling has been launched, and added that good governance, social justice and prosperity have been pushed forward amidst many challenges in the country.
Stating that the parties will only be powerful if they are able to connect with the people, Prime Minister Dahal argued that the government, the House and the streets should be used to the maximum for bringing about socialism in the country.
He also explained that a new power equation was formed since the previous alliance could not work according to the aspirations of the people and build a basis of socialism.
