Kedar Karki, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Province No. 1 said that the government is vigilant for disaster management.
Minister Karki praised the Nepal Army, the Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Police for being at the forefront of post-disaster relief, rescue, and rehabilitation. He urged the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police to work with high morale and point out the need to mobilize the people of the community in this task.
Secretary at the Ministry, Kali Prasad Parajuli, expressed confidence that the knowledge gained during the program, organized with the objective of exchanging the learning and experience of the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police in disaster relief, would further help in disaster management. He said that there was no alternative to move ahead in an integrated manner in disaster management as the ministry has a plan to train the guards of each municipality by making an action plan in disaster management.
Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Birendra Khanal will impart training on disaster management to Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police officers and personnel for two days.
