BHAKTAPUR: General Secretary of the CPN UML, Shankar Pokhrel, has said government was working actively for the national development.
General Secretary Pokhrel said it while inaugurating the second municipal convention of UML Suryabinayak municipal committee here today. The government led by UML party Chairman KP Sharma Oli was devoted to development works by building positive thoughts and warding off public despair.
He however said, "Though UML is leading the government, it is not forwarding agenda singlehandedly and making decision alone, but taking up common agenda and collaboration."
According to him, both the State bodies and people need collaborating to build the nation. National prosperity is achievable once political stability is secured, he argued.
Also addressing the gathering were leaders Rajan Bhattari, Som Prasad Mishra, Tulasha Dahal, Nirmal Bhattarai, Govind Duwal, Kailash Dhungel, Bachan Deuja, Kiran Thapa. They underlined the need for making 'mission-84' successful.
