While Minister for Urban Development Ramkumari Jhankri was laying a foundation stone for a building of a province public health laboratory on Wednesday, she said that government was serious on public health.
The government has kept priority in the health, education, and employment sectors, she said, expressing hope that the establishment of public health laboratory would contribute a lot to the health sector in Province-2. She urged all sides concerned to make the government health plans successful.
On the occasion, Chief Minister at Province-2 Lalbabu Raut informed that the building to which the foundation stone is laid is an example of coordination and cooperation among all three layers of government. The present public health laboratory here played a significant role to fight COVID-19 in the province.
The building is being constructed at the Rural Orientation Centre of Mujeliya in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-14. It will be built at the cost of Rs 72.7 million and will have three stories. The building is estimated to complete in two years.
