78 quintals of food have been transported to North Namkha Gaunpalika-6, Limi of Humla. Transportation of food has started from Monday via Nepal Army helicopters in Limi due to the shortage of food.
According to Chief District Officer Ganesh Acharya, the Hilsa border crossing with China has been closed for two years and there was no food transportation for Limi. Helicopters deliver food from Simkot and Hilsa. It is informed that 502 quintals of food will be transported to Limi.
Again, food will be transported to Simkot and Hilsa today, said CDO Acharya. Food items transported to Limi, Halji, Teel, and Zhang will be distributed, said Ward Chairman Paljor Tamang. A 27-member team from Limi had arrived in Simkot to appeal to the local administration after the food shortage. Federal MP Rangmati Shahi had reached Limi to take an initiative for food transportation.
