The ministers and high-tanking government officials have been prevented from making foreign trips except for the essential ones.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma said that a meeting of the Council of Ministers held Tuesday took a decision to that end. Meanwhile, the government approved the foreign trips of secretaries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Forest and Environment, and Ministry of Health and Population.
Likewise, Implementation Facilitation Committee has been formed under the coordination of a secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers for the report implementation of the Leelamani Paudyal-led High-Level Salary and Benefits Commission.
Furthermore, the government has approved a proposal for land acquisition to bring about reforms in system of Koshi Pump Chandra Canal.
Minister Sharma stated that participation of the Minister for Water Supply to the "The United Nations 2023 Water Conference" has been approved.
The cabinet meeting also decided to maintain uniformity in the study visa fees between Nepal and the United States of Government.
The meeting's decision also includes promotion and deputation of Nepali Army's Colonel and Brigadier General.
The cabinet meeting also decided to allow the use of national forest area for the construction of 132 KV transmission line of the Lower Likhu Hydropower Project and upgradation of 10-bed Rampur Health Post, Udayapur to make it a hospital.
Grant aid worth 14.31 billion accepted
Meanwhile, the government has decided to accept a grant aid of Rs. 14.31 billion from the British government for the Nepal local infrastructure support program.
This was shared by Minister Sharma while updating the media about the March 14 Cabinet meeting decisions. The cabinet also decided to approve presenting of the Bill designed to amend the Investigation of the Disappeared, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act, 2071 in the Federal Parliament.
The government has also fixed the minimum purchase price of milk at 65 rupees per litre. Joint Attorney General Uddhav Prasad Pudasaini has been appointed a member of the Foreign Employment Tribunal.
