Chief of Province No. 1 Parshuram Khapung has said that the hospitals should provide services to the patients by being friendly to the service recipients.
Inaugurating a newly-established Haji Eye Hospital in Biratnagar on Monday, the Province Chief said that the services should be qualitative and accessible.
Khapung also expressed confidence that the hospital run from the private level would play a vital role in fulfilling the people’s health care needs adding that this hospital would contribute to the country’s health and economic sector of the region.
Also speaking at the event, Health Minister of Province No. 1 Jayaram Yadav said the patients coming here from India for the treatment would help contribute to reduce country’s trade deficit to some extent.
The hospital was established with the investment of Rs 100 million and the state-of-the-art equipment have been installed by importing from South Korea and Italy. The 50-beded hospital has two eye specialists and 50 other skilled human resources to provide entire services on eye diseases, it is said.
