Biratnagar Municipality has started construction of a new municipal office building with the objective of providing services to the service recipients easily. Engineer Arjun Thapa informed that the new building will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1 hundred forty-six million, three hundred fifty-five thousand, four hundred and ninety rupees.
The construction of the building will be completed in the next two years. Chief of the metropolis Bhim Parajuli laid the foundation stone of the building today. He expressed confidence that the administrative work would be easier after the service recipients receive services from the new building.
Metropolitan Chief Parajuli and Chairman of the Consumers' Committee Punya Bhattarai jointly laid the foundation stone of the beautification work of the 500-meter road leading to Biratnagar Airport today with the participation of the people. The beautification work is targeted to be completed by mid-June 2079 BS with a total cost of Rs. 9 million, six hundred eleven thousand three hundred and twenty-nine rupees.
