Police have arrested an Indian man with foreign currency from Tribhuvan International Airport. An Indian national named Aris, who was on his way to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last night from a Himalayan Airlines flight, was arrested with illegal foreign currency (38,900 Malaysian ringgit), according to the airport security office.
The foreign currency was recovered from his bag while checking the departure area of Tribhuvan International Airport for international flights. He was sent to the Revenue Investigation Department, Lalitpur today for necessary investigation and action as the foreign currency was found to be being smuggled abroad, police said.
Officers arrested with Rs 6.2 million fine from the court.

According to the bureau, the officer was arrested for misleading the victim by giving two checks of the Nepal Bank Limited New Road branch in 2076 BS and 2077 BS. The arrested officer was produced before the Lalitpur District Court today, police said.
