Armed Police have seized a truck with illegal oil and Indian number plate from Saptari today. Armed Police Inspector Kisman Tamang informed that 1,500 tins of refined palmonium oil was recovered from the east-west road section of Hanumannagar-Kankalini Municipality-1 Koshi Barrage.
According to Saprani Tamang, the truck heading from east to west was carrying illegal oil. The market value of the oil is 54.96 million.
According to the Armed Police Force, the seized truck was handed over to the Rajbiraj Customs Office, Belhi for further investigation.
It is said that Saprani Tamang, leading the patrol team, interrogated the truck driver and took him under control after he did not find the Nepali documents and invoice of the truck. The truck driver said that he had traveled to India at some point and then forgot the route and entered Nepal.
