Tatopani Rural Municipality in Jumla is set to provide MBBS scholarship support to a boy/girl student having outstanding performance and those belonging to Dalit and minority groups.
The rural municipality has decided to allocate scholarship support amounting to Rs 1.5 million for its student who passes MBBS entrance examination to pursue medical science in the recognized institute.
The rural municipality has allocated the budget to cover the first year's educational expenses of the MBBS student. The local government has specified the arrangement in the budget for the fiscal year 2080/81.
Chairperson of Tatopani rural municipality, Nanda Prasad Chaulagain informed Rs 1.5 million has been appropriated under the scholarship heading to support a MBBS student every year.
