Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendra Raj Pandey said on Saturday that justice will prevail if justice delivery was impartial on the part of the judges.
At an interaction program organized by the Chief Attorney Office of Gandaki Province on the completion of five years of its establishment, Pandey stated that justice delivery should be done in a free and fair manner, not under duress.
He argued that the decisions of the judiciary should not be controversial adding that the judges should not make decisions being swayed by the crowds.
“No one is above the law. We want to make the judiciary independent,” he shared.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the provincial government was focused on drafting the remaining laws.
Likewise, Chief Minister Pandey stated that he was in favor of making the media sector decent.
Chief Judge of High Court Pokhara Dilliraj Acharya said that public trust in the judiciary would increase if justice delivery was fast and prompt.
Chief Attorney of Gandaki Province Chiranjivi Poudel also expressed his views on the occasion.
