The government has reappointed Pushpa Kandel as the vice-chairperson of the National Planning Commission (NPC) — country’s apex planning body.
The decision to appoint Kandel as the vice-chairperson of the NPC was taken by the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of the planning commission, delivered the oath of office to Kandel at Singhadurbar today. The other members who have been appointed to NPC are Usha Jha, Krishna Prasad Oli and Min Bahadur Shahi.
After assuming office Kandel approved the multi-year plan to build 11 smart cities across the country.
