The Karnali state government has released Rs. 120 million for the flood victims of Surkhet. The amount has been disbursed for the construction of houses for the flood victims in Panchpuri, Bheriganga Municipality, and Barahatal Village Municipality of West Surkhet.
The floods completely damaged 1,045 houses. Karnali Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has sent a relief amount of Rs 6 million 185 thousand. Similarly, bids have been invited for the purchase of disaster materials worth Rs. 20 million.
Chief Minister Shahi said that 1,055 projects in 718 wards have been selected from the Chief Minister's Employment Program. He said, “The budget has been allocated for the solution of unemployment and poverty in Karnali. We have already sent the budget to the concerned local level for the implementation of the projects selected for the employment program. ”
According to Chief Minister Shahi, 209 entrepreneurs have so far received grants from banks and 611 from cooperatives for the interest subsidy program of the state government and the state government has paid Rs. The state government has amended the Karnali State Broadcasting Rules, 2076 BS, and reduced the renewal fee and royalty fee of the media for the fiscal year 2078/79 BS by one percent.
