The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea for Nepal, Tae-Young Park paid a courtesy call to Dev Raj Ghimire, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nepal.
Speaker Ghimire said the two countries have been maintaining a friendly relationship since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1974, and warmly welcomed Ambassador Park's appointment to Nepal.
Ambassador Park said it is an honor to be appointed as an ambassador to Nepal ahead of the historic 50th anniversary of the diplomatic ties of Korea-Nepal, and said that he would make efforts to further develop bilateral relations over the next 50 years based on the past 50 years of bilateral relations.
The two agreed that there are great opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as the economy, employment, development, human and cultural exchanges, etc., and discussed ways to expand areas of cooperation including exchanges between the parliaments of the two countries.
