Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, has made public the budget for the fiscal year, 2080/81 BS. Chief Minister Karki, who is also looking after the ministry of economic affairs and planning, released the budget brought through an ordinance.
He made public the budget of Rs 36.24 billion to implement the government's policies and programmes for the coming fiscal year. Of the total budget, current budget is Rs 14.39 billion, while Rs 18.23 billion is allocated under capital spending.
Similarly, for the fiscal management, Rs 10 million is allotted while Rs 3.60 billion for fiscal handover to the local levels. Another, Rs 2 billion is the saving- unused grants to be returned to the federal government.
The provincial government has targeted to collect Rs 4.57 billion in revenue, receive Rs 8.78 billion from federal grants, and conditional grants of Rs 5.84 billion.
Even the foreign grants of Rs 150 million for the fiscal year is expected in the budget document.
