The lower house members have drawn the government's attention on urgency to rescue the Nepalis suffering in Israel amidst a terror unleashed there with the unprecedented attack by a terrorist group Hamas a week back.
Airing views in a zero hour of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday, Bimala Subedi, welcomed the government move to rescue 254 Nepalis from Israel and their safe home return. She urged the government to ensure the safe return of all those Nepalis wishing to get back to homeland.
Raghuji Panta demanded the government provide compensation to those Nepalis killed in the Hamas attack in Israel, advising it to escalate diplomatic efforts to search for one Nepali reportedly gone missing in the wake of attack in Israel.
Manish Jha applauded the government efforts to ensure safe return of a group of Nepalis from Israel.
Rama Koirala Poudel said a large number of Nepali women who are working as 'caregivers' in Israel and if they want to return, it should be made possible.
Similarly, Bhim Prasad Acharya urged the government to address the issues of teachers and health workers, and curb on black market.
However, Meena Tamang, Mukta Kumari Yadav, Ram Kumar Rai, Ranedra Baraili and Ranju Kumari Jha accused the government of failing to prevent the unexpected market price rise on the eve of the festivals while Ram Prakash Chaudhary asked the government to launch the fair-price shops at each local level of the Tarai-Madhesh districts considering festival time.
Ramhari Khatiwada warned that dengue infection would take a deadly turn if substantive measures were not taken on time against the fever.
Meantime, the second session of the National Assembly on Friday unanimously endorsed a proposal to seek considerations on the 'Martyr Dasharath Chand University of Health Sciences Bill -2080 BS'.
The Bill aims to transform the Geta Medical College based at Godavari Municipality-4 in Kailali into the University and the Bill was registered at the Assembly on October 6.
The House shall meet again at 1:00 pm on October 17.
