Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa on Saturday said it was the profound need of the country for him or any leader from his generation to become the Prime Minister.
He was speaking at a municipal conference of the Nepali Congress, Budhanilkantha Municipality. “I will continue my efforts to change parliamentary party leader in our party, NC. If possible, I will become the prime minister or at least I will make someone from my generation the prime minister.” He was working to carry out reforms in the party itself. “We are in the NC. We must work to change the party. I have fielded my candidacy for the parliamentary party leader so as to change NC.”
NC could not win next election on condition the party continues to remain in the same situation, said NC leader Pradip Paudel while urging the ministers in the incumbent government to work to protect the interests of the people.
He emphasized on holding meeting and conferences at village and ward level and collecting suggestions from the bottom to strengthen the party. ---
