Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has said that it is necessary to work for economic and social prosperity now as political change has taken place in the country.
Speaking at an ideological-political training organized by the CPN (Maoist Center) Mahabharat-Upatyaka Coordinating Committee in Banepa, Kavrapelanchok today, Minister Bhusal said that the current election agenda should be to make full use of the resources available in its place.
She said that the CPN (Maoist Center) has already written the constitution through a new style of people's movement based on the people's war. "With the implementation of the constitution, the people have been able to exercise a lot of rights from the backyard," she said. Minister Bhusal said that the people's representatives elected from the upcoming election will play a special role in solving these problems.
She said that there would be no people's warlike in the past even if there was class struggle in the society. She directed the party leaders and cadres to move ahead by making the development of the people's perception the main agenda to bring transformation in the economic and social life while protecting the system that addresses the aspirations of change in the upcoming election.
On the occasion, she said that the basic needs of the people for development are roads, water, and electricity, adding that the people of Mahabharat village are getting those basic conditions in detail. At the same time, Minister Bhusal suggested moving ahead by making a plan to make a leap in the development of hill agriculture and stressed the need to focus on technology to move forward from fragmented land to an integrated farming system by modernizing agriculture.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahabharat Village Municipality Chairman Kanchhalal Zimba said that the situation of the people across the hills could not be changed even after the change of the system. She said, "Development could not take place yesterday due to lack of visionary leaders in Dandapari. Today, development work is moving forward due to the arrival of leaders with clear vision." She urged the people to manage the necessary budget to complete the construction of road tracks in all the hills.
She has given political and ideological training to the youths living in Banepa, Panauti, Dhulikhel, and Upatyaka. Central member of the CPN (Maoist Center) and Kavrepalanchok district in-charge Suryaman Dong, party's Bagmati state president Saral Poudel (fellow traveler), and secretary Indra Bahadur Thing gave training in the program.
