Snow has also fallen at Resunga, a religious and touristic site in the Gulmi district. Locals are seen enjoying the snow which fell after a long rainfall since Tuesday night.
After the rain stopped on Thursday morning, the number of people playing in the snow at Resunga has started growing. Many people have shared their pics of enjoying the snow on social media. As there is a public holiday today, there is a lot of people going to see and play in the snow of Resunga.
The snowfall in Resunga can also be seen from the district headquarters Tamghas Bazaar. Other high places of the district including Arjun, Madane, Timure, Thaple, Salimedah, and a dozen other places have experienced normal snowfall. Farmers are happy as rain and snow will benefit winter crops.
It snows every year in the high places of the district including Resunga. Located at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level, Resunga is also a religious, historical, and touristic area. Fairs are held here on various occasions. From Resunga, one can observe the mountain range from Dhaulagiri to Manaslu at other times as well.
The snowfall has caused extreme cold in Tamghas Bazaar, the district headquarters. Due to the cold, the market activity has also decreased.
