A replacement bill has been introduced in the meeting of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly today amid the boycott of the main opposition party CPN-UML.
Minister for Economic Affairs and Cooperatives Krishna Dhwaj Khadkal has presented a new budget replacement bill of Rs. 40.95 billion.
Out of the total budget, Rs. 13.64 billion is for current expenditure and Rs. 224.71 million is for capital expenditure. On a percentage basis, 33.31 percent of the total budget goes towards recurrent expenditure and 54.87 percent towards capital expenditure. Besides, 11.82 percent or Rs. 4.84 billion has been allocated for financial transfer at the local level.
Opposition party CPN-UML has stated that it will not allow the House to function until the Speaker approves the resignation of Vimala Wali and Ajay Shahi. In the previous meeting, the CPN-UML had chanted slogans.
However, a bill was passed amidst slogans.
