Persons who were killed and injured in a road accident that occurred in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-1 of Makawanpur district on Friday morning have been identified.
Spokesperson for Makawanpur District Police Office (DPO), Jayashwar Rimal identified the deceased as Bhojraj Basnet (28) of Lampantar area in Tinpatan Rural Municipality-10 of Sindhuli district. Likewise, the injured have been identified as truck driver Rajan Baskota (31) and his assistant Saroj Acharya (24), both the residents of Sundarharaincha Municipality-8 in Morang district.
Injured Baskota was receiving treatment at Chure Hill Hospital while critically injured Acharya was referred to a health institution in Kathmandu.
The truck (State 1-02-001 Kha 8759) carrying a load of iron heading towards Kathmandu had run out of control before plunging into Rapti Khola killing one and injuring two persons aboard the vehicle, near Suparetar-based army barrack in Bhainse area along the Tribhuvan Rajpath.
