Maoist Centre Urges Dialogue on Demands

The ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) has drawn a conclusion that the dissatisfactions seen regarding the School Education Bill registered at the Federal Parliament through dialogue and discussion.

A meeting of the office-bearers of the party held under chairmanship of acting Chair Narayan Kaji Shrestha at the party office, Perisdanda, took the decision in this regard, said party Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota.

Community School Teachers across the country had gathered in Kathmandu few days ago and demonstrated expressing their dissatisfactions on the bill.

Although most of the teachers have returned back to their regular work after dialogue with the government, relief quota teachers are still demonstrating, saying their demands are not addressed.

Sapkota shared that the party urged the government to address the genuine demands of relief quota teachers keeping the sentiments of the constitution in mind.

Determining that point of consensus would be find out through talks and dialogue, the meeting requested to put the necessary procedures in the bill to address the demands, he mentioned.

Similarly, the CPN (Maoist Centre) also drew government's attention to address demands raised by doctors and health workers. Doctors have been demonstrating citing they have been facing assault and misbehave time and again by relatives of patients.

Stating that activities spoiling the social harmony at different parts of the country have been taking place, the party laid emphasis on the need of adopting alertness on time.

Likewise, special emphasis was laid on the need of making the campaign 'Maoist with people' launched by the party further effective and moving ahead winning the trust of the people in the meeting, said leader Sapkota.

Pointing out the need of making the government's anti-corruption and good governance campaign more effective, the meeting urged all to support the government for the same.
