Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka, who is in Colombo, Sri Lanka to attend the 18th Ministerial Meeting of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multisectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), has met his Indian counterpart Subramaniam Jayashankar.
On the occasion, they discussed Nepal-India relations as well as various issues of mutual interest. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two foreign ministers also discussed the ongoing preparations for the official visit of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to India from next Friday.
Meanwhile, the Indian Minister for External Affairs said in a meeting with Foreign Minister Khadka that discussions were held on expanding India-Nepal communication network, electricity trade, and fertilizer supply. He also mentioned that they have agreed to move the Ramayana Circuit forward.
