Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Nepal on Friday, leading a 19-member delegation.
Foreign Minister Wang is coming to Kathmandu from New Delhi, India for a three-day visit. Foreign Minister Wang is coming to Nepal on a visit to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang is coming to Nepal at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka.
Foreign Secretary Wang was received at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Foreign Secretary Bharatraj Poudyal, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hu Yanchi, was welcomed Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi and others.
From the airport, he will rest at Hotel Dwarika in Battisputali and will meet on Saturday. China-Nepal delegation level talks will be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Saturday afternoon.
After the talks, a memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed between the two countries on enhancing mutual cooperation. On Saturday afternoon, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will have a courtesy meeting at his official residence in Baluwatar.
On Saturday evening, Foreign Minister Khadka will host a dinner in honour of his Chinese counterpart. A courtesy call on President Bidyadevi Bhandari will be held at the President's Office, Sheetal Niwas on Sunday morning.
After that, there will be a courtesy meeting with former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (UML) KP Oli, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to leave for Beijing on Sunday with a delegation.
