Minister for Urban Development Metmani Chaudhary has directed the completion of big and pride projects in the scheduled time.
Infrastructural work like the construction of 11 buildings, two bus parks, five playgrounds, five parks and three water projects, installation of 400 road lamps, setting up five local bazaars and three land integration projects had taken place since the minister assumed office one month ago, it has been informed at a press conference organised here on Wednesday to mark one month of his assuming office.
Agreements were reached to construct roads in Pokhara at the cost of around 1 billion and in Tilottama Municipality at the cost of Rs 780 million under the Nepal Urban Governance and Infrastructure Project.
Similarly, the construction of roads in Urlabari in Morang district at the cost of approximately Rs 510 million and in Birtamod Municipality in Jhapa at the cost of around Rs 760 million proceeded.
Around 15,000 housing units had been constructed in one month under the safe citizen housing programme.
