"Our party has launched the awakening campaign for making clear its policy and principles that citizens must have easy access to education, health and employment opportunities," he said, adding that his party was for ending gender and class discriminations in order to establish social justice and equality.
On the occasion, former prime minister and party leader Jhalanath Khanal said the country could achieve prosperity through socialism. The CPN (Unified Socialist) has formulated an action plan to make people happy. According to him, capitalist exploitation was entrenched in rural areas, so scientific socialism should be the goal here after.
General Secretary of the party, Ghanashyam Bhusal, made it clear that there is no discrimination in socialism. With the exercise of equal rights, social justice and prosperity could be realized, he argued.
