The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Wednesday confirmed the detection of 312 new cases of coronavirus infection. With this, the COVID count has reached 976,361. Additionally, 56 persons have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in the antigen test.
Likewise, the MoHP has recorded 2 deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. As of Wednesday, the nationwide death toll from COVID-19 has reached 11,930. Presently, there are 10,090 active cases in Nepal.
Meanwhile, the three districts of Kathmandu valley alone have recorded 87 cases in the past 24 hours. Kathmandu logged 67 cases, Lalitpur logged 10 cases and Bhaktapur logged 10 cases, as per the data released by the MoHP.
As many as 911 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. As of Wednesday, a total of 954,341 people have recovered from the viral disease, the data released by the MoHP showed. Presently, the recovery rate stands at 97.7 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.2 per cent.
As of Wednesday, a total of 5,396,706 people have undergone the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test. Presently, there are 10,090 people staying in home isolation while 107 others have been placed in quarantine in the country.
