The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Sunday confirmed the detection of 385 new cases of coronavirus infection. With this, the COVID count has reached 805,037. Additionally, Six persons have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in the antigen test.
Likewise, the MoHP has recorded Six deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The ministry on May 19 recorded 246 deaths, the highest daily number. As of Sunday, the nationwide death toll from COVID-19 has reached 11,284. Presently, there are 12,297 active cases in Nepal.
As many as 680 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. As of Sunday, a total of 781,456 people have recovered from the viral disease, the data released by the MoHP showed. Presently, the recovery rate stands at 97.07 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.4 per cent.
As of Sunday, a total of 4,320,824 people have undergone the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. Presently, there are 12,297 people staying in isolation while 231 others have been placed in quarantine in the country.
