The people of the Haliya community spend their days beating ballast for their daily livelihood. But since the ballast has not been sold, they have been forced to eat in the morning and evening. It is said that they have been selling ballast in the morning and evening and even the ballast they have beaten has stopped selling. The Haliya community has complained that they have not received the services and facilities from the local level even after five years of the local government.

The mother of Khadke Vicky of Budhinanda Municipality-6 is physically handicapped. She has a lot of problems raising 14 families including her parents. He complains that he is being deprived of every service he gets from the local level. Another Haliya Sagune BK said that he has not been able to get any relief till now. He said, "The beaten ballast has not even been sold recently. ”

Gauti BK lamented that her husband was sent to work in India even at the risk of corona as he could not find employment in the village to support his family. She said, "Corona has come, her husband is in India. I haven't even been able to make a phone call. After earning a little money, my husband used to pay for the generously brought dalchamal. ”

He said that he used to feed his children by beating ballast during the day. "We hurled stones at the river for our livelihood, but even those stones are stuck in the river without being sold," said another victim, Janakala BK.

Not only them, but Haliya of Daya is wandering in different places for work all day long. However, Nare BK said that he used to return home in the evening frustrated after not getting a job. He has complained that he has not been able to cover his house yet as he does not have money to put tin in his house. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture. ”
