The major opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded with the incumbent government to set up well-equipped hospitals in all seven provinces to treat the COVID-19 suspected and infected ones.
According to NC chief whip Bal Krishna Khand, the meeting of the NC parliamentary party’s executive committee on Wednesday had urged the government to be serious about the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 and to treat the infected ones as more and more COVID-19 cases were reported in the country on a daily basis.
NC has also demanded vaccination for all, informed Khand, adding that the party has extended its thankfulness to national and international organizations/ agencies and individuals supporting Nepal in its fight against COVID-19.
NC has called for more cooperation and support from the national and international organizations to Nepal to contain the Covid-19.
The party expressed its qualm over the Prime Minister issuing a statement on the eve of by-election of the National Assembly and requesting for votes. NC has concluded that it was violation of the election code of conduct and demands action against those flouting it.
