The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Monday confirmed the detection of 33 new cases of coronavirus infection. With this, the COVID count has reached 999,789. Additionally, 3 people tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in the antigen test.
Likewise, the MoHP has recorded 0 deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The ministry on May 19 recorded 184 deaths, the highest daily number. As of Monday, the nationwide death toll from COVID-19 has reached 12018. Presently, there are 1004 active cases in Nepal.
As many as 66 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. As of Monday, a total of 986720 people have recovered from the viral disease, the data released by the MoHP showed. Presently, the recovery rate stands at 98.7 percent while the fatality rate is 1.2 percent.
As of Monday, a total of 59,39,084 people have undergone the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test.
